David Williams car (A.C. Williams in Linc)
Haven't seen it before but if it's kept to the standard of his previous stuff, It'll be very tidy.

The OFM reg number on the A110 rings bells with me.
I think that's the one that had a big crash on a rally. It looked like it was rolled (over by a steam roller).... Or maybe that was a different one.
No matter, it's a 1600, so it'll sell for a fortune

How come you have been outbid? The auction isn't until the 26th unless I have missed something?

It's an online auction like EBay except if someone outbids the current off then the auction has it's time extended and so on.

You're right, I worked just 3 miles away from A C Williams from '96 to last year and have been a very regular customer. Had a good look at both cars frequently, sometimes when cars were on lifts. The 310 paint job is very average - more of a blow over with a lot of over/underspray. The 110 is better, but still rough around the edges and the interiors of both leave much to be desired. They are nowhere near concours, or even A1 condition, but I believe that they have been kept in good fettle mechanically. The auction photos are wholly inadequate if you're relying on them to give an honest impression of the cars - go and look yourself if you're serious about bidding.

I think Williams have been Renault dealers for over 50 years, and they had the largest stock of Renault parts (lots of 'classic' spares as many of you may know) outside of Renault UK. They were particularly customer focused, and have acquired parts for me that seemingly haven't even existed in the Renault parts lists. It is indeed a great shame, so if anyone can recommend a good Renault dealership anywhere in the Notts/Lincs area I would be interested - those I have tried so far haven't been able to hold a candle to Williams!

Regarding bidding, my understanding is that you can bid, as on Ebay, upto the closing time of midday on the 26th January. Presumably most of the bidding will be in the hour before midday.
I'm not bidding on the A310, by the way. One A310 is enough to work on at the moment.
