It’s a 210 Transcup, (Transcoupe), or spyder to some. This is we believe the only right hand drive version made, it was sold to the U.K. and became the centre-fold of the Encyclopaedia of Supercars Venturi 210/260 entry.
The last UK owner lived in Preston and had the car nicely tidied up before eventually deciding to sell it. At that time there was no interest and it eventually dropped to £10,000 in 2008 at which time a French dealer came in for it.
To this day It is still in the French dealers hands and has always been advertised as POA, I guess he has been a little greedy especially as the French rarely like to buy a RHD car. So you know how much Frenchie paid for it and he has had it for over three years.
The Transcup has an interesting roof, it is a two piece fibreglass thing with a retracting rear window, it can be used like a targa with the roof panels removed but the rear window in place, or as a proper spyder with the rear window down.
The end result is a very handsome beast with the roof and rear screen down or a slightly awkward profile with it in place.
And it is rarer than a 300 Bi-turbo

NO sorry John, every time you see a Ferrari 348 it reminds you of a Venturi 200/260.
Venturi 200 launched in 1985. Ferrari 348 launched in 1989.
