The idea of this raid came after the fall of the Berlin wall on November 09, 1989. Link Paris to St. Petersburg along a route that would write the word "freedom." Of 7.579 km long and travelled in 114 hours the average of 66.5 km/h. It will be accomplished at the wheel of an Alpine A610 loaned by the technical Centre for Alpine-Renault and decorated internally by Leather Design. The A610 had V6 2.975 cm3 250 HP at 5.750 rpm with a top speed of 265 km/h

Only one worse than the exterior of that particular 610....the interior!!!!

Image

And as if that wasn't bad enough, somebody in the UK must have thought I love that 'toilet wall paint' colour so much, I'll have the whole of my 610 painted in it.

Hey wasn’t that the Stevie Wonder Car? 8) 8) 8)

But seriously, strewth! The interior, what were they thinking? That spearmint type of colour is seriously sh1te on its own but when they go and add a yellow driver’s seat and an orange gear stick gaiter the nightmare is complete.

Just shown the photos to Jen and her comments were, “Yuk” to the exterior shot, “Oh my god were they trying to get rid of left over leather?” and finally, “Were is that France? Thank God they can’t blame us, (U.K.), for that”.

Looking at the photo of the two 610 you may think they look low . However Simon on the left is six foot four and his mate is well over seven foot he has no front seat in his car but sits on the rear seat .I took the photo at Tatton Park classic show some years ago
