GTA - jacking up rear - both wheels at once?

Postby Tom » Fri Feb 10, 2012 12:29 am

Wondering on the best way to jack up the GTA so that both rear wheels are off the ground at once?

Is it generally considered ok for the body structure of the car to use a scissor jack at each jack point simultaneously?

I do have a pair of axle stands also but I’m not sure where these could safely be placed.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Trolley jack on the engine subframe near the mount/rear tow eye .Both wheel will lift after a while .I wouldn't trust the jacking points taking the whole weight no matter how good condition they look .

Am writing this at work and they block access to photo sharing sites unfortunatley so I can't post photos yet.
