Parts for Venturi 400LM trophy chassis 007

Postby PaulC1959 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 4:59 pm

Hi Guys

Taz the owner off 007 has sent me an email with the below text. Cab anybody help, perhaps Clee? What is a "ceramic valve follower pad? I have never heard of such a thing!

My engine has now gone off to be rebuilt by DTW Engine builders and they have asked me for a little help for the following ....

" If you can check through your contacts as to obtaining the ceramic valve follower pad, this would be most useful and also all seals and O rings for the engine. Peugeot list it but have no stock."

If anyone can help this would be great ..

Below is a pic of what he is after

The 24V engine chewed up followers and camshafts at an alarming rate if oil changes were not regular.

The last engines had ceramic followers which is presuambly what you have pictured.

If he cannot find these there is other technology that can now be applied to regular steel cams/followers to give improved wear protection eg DLC (diamond like carbon coating)
