Hmm, I note with interest that a certain Mr DELL Stephen Renault 8 is only at the Pre-reg stage on the above listing?

I had to chase at each stage to get mine confirmed, it's harder than it should be, if it gets cancelled that will be a triumph of bureaucracy over enthusiasm.

Talk of "cancelling the event" will not help up the number of registrations given that the organisers themselves have set a registration deadline of June 15th. (where did this April 15th deadline suddenly appear from?) Infact who is going to commit knowing that cancelation is even a possibility? I for one thought this event was already confirmed and its hard enough paying yet alone recieving a refund.
The only thing holding back registrations is Renault Classic's almost "classic" stance on paying for the event. If they want to attract a European wide Renault enthusiast then they need to sort out a European wide payment method.

just to add to the confusion:

Tickets for foreign visitors
To overcome the cost generated by sending a ticket overseas (by Francebillet), visitors not living in France will be able to get one or several tickets when they arrive on site, the 22nd and 23rd of September 2012.
The price will be 15 Euro and the ticket will be valid for the whole “Festival Renault” duration.

Whats this about then? is this just general public admission? Glad to see Renault are cost cutting the postage of sending a ticket but cannot care less about bank charges for us trying to pay for them them.

This would surely be for visitors to the site only.

To be fair to them re payment though, they were shocked at how much it was costing individual entrants from the UK when the issue was raised last month. They promised swift action, and although not 'too' swift, it seems they have addressed the issue. In the mean time we've made our own arrangements though, courtesy of Mr Dell
