...noooo, back on it...lost motivation for a while because there was no time to work on it, it's always like that to me, no progress, no motivation, but i think i'll find a way to manage both!
Single (-seater) and marriage (-Reno)...and wife...
If all goes well, single seater will be this one
GTA, a bit doing all at once at the moment:
Headers will be something like this:
Most important thing to me is to keep it single turbo, because of the challenge, and i don't want any gramm more in the back of the car, also the reason why i want to keep the turbo in the front of the engine bay.
I think on this setup, flow, gasspeed, and little volume and surface of tubing, and very smooth bends and angles is much more important then equal length etc, first idea was like that:
...would keep the volume smaller, and the gasspeed faster, but there is not enough space in the engine bay, so i wrapped the shortest one round
to gain some space for very smooth secondaries.
the styropor advent-rings made it easier to find out where is space!
Material of the headers is SS321, actually the only payable material that can handle the heat for long lasting, i'm using unwelded double-slip-connections, to allow to expand etc, thought no compromises on this very critical parts.
I'll vent the manifolds with one WG each bank from the secondaries, because there will be a lot of gas passing through them at high revs, and it will be balanced well so i can lead each bank totally separated into the twinscroll turbo.
I'm also working at the inlet tract, welded two CC's together for one proper unit. OE throttlebody is too small, so it had to go. Using a VW one, made an adapter plate to fit. Looks like this:
