A310 V6 - 'leccy mirror switch & carbs

Postby exocet » Wed May 30, 2012 10:58 am

Hi

I'm trying to get a switch for the electric mirrors, but the one Simon Auto has doesn't seem to be the right one / one I need. The one I got can only adjust one mirror. The one that crapped out (well it did stop working when I broke the PCB....) had a two position collar that allowed you to adjust both mirrors. Any ideas on where else I could get one.

Secondly, having watched the Wheeler Dealer vid, I'm curious to know a little more on the Holley conversion. I did a quick forum search but couldn't see much. Can anyone point me in the right direction or provide some more info?

Thanks

Pretty sure I have some from GTA that work both mirrors .Will have a look .John Law supplied the WD unit ,Ragnotti Drift on here .I think Simonsays also does the conversion as well .

Thanks for that.

Previous to the now broken electric mirror switch, when I purchased the car it had a different switch. The "original" one had a square, illuminated base plate with arrows (back-lit) with a sort of castellated (4 indents) two position adjuster toggle. That switch fitted from above, into a square hole in the door. The broken (correct?) one fits from underneath, with a round threaded collar and retaining nut,

I've not been able to find where that original one may have come from, and unfortunately I no longer have it. I have had a look at a few other French cars from similar periods, but not found anything similar enough to substitute.

So, are many people up there running the Holley kit on their road cars? If so, how have you found it? Has the lack of fresh air intake had any negative effect?

That's the switch!

Simon Auto's one looked similar, but only had 5 wires. My one had six till I broke them all off :(

So, who do I need to contact, and will they send one all the way to NZ?

Thanks

Not sure .
That was the only one in the random electrical bits box but may be one still in a door card in the rafters .
