I have been doing some weather checking for our visit, it looks like there will be light rain and showers over the entire period. So perhaps it's more a case of waterproofs rather than sun hats. Probably like everyone else I'm getting bored with this continual rain it makes such a mess of your car.

This bloody mis-placed Jetstream is a pain in the ar$e this year - I've gotten soaked in the Spider pretty much every time I've taken it out - including RAOC events like Macon and Bromley. All becoming a bit tiresome and makes me want to make like Mr Holt and move much further south.....

Am camping with the Spider this weekend, so the ability to take all that extra wet weather protective gear is severely limited. Bring back the drought I say.

God what is it about forums and long term weather forcasts....they are NEVER acuarate, dont give yourselves stress about it, just check the weather the night before.

If anyone remembers 4 years ago, i took the P3 RSS spider and it tipped it down all the way from Eurotunnel to Le mans and stopped the moment we arrived! Still had a great time though.
Shame I am not taking the support van this year, could have carried all the ness camping stuff for you. Hope someones got a trolley jack, mind was in great demand last time!
Hope you all have a great and safe journey and event there, will be missing going this year but Lydden awaits instead.

Lydden - maybe good for cars, but not for bikes, as was my one and only visit thus far. 3 right handers and a single left does not a good bike circuit make, as the left side of the tyre stays stone cold and folks were punting themselves off like flies on the one bend that went the other way. This was a few years ago mind.

Now rallycross at Lydden is another thing - how fab was that on TV when we were kids?!

I run a business that relies on decisions I make about the weather (unfortunately) and having taken more than a passing interest in it over the past thirty odd years I formulate an opinion based on what about three fairly reliable weather sites I use predict. So on that basis it just looks like it is going to be damp/wet rather than wall to wall sunshine so I for one am packing a bit more waterproofs than shorts.

Phil, I will be there in the spider as well so your not on your own again in the wet. I have now fitted the rear luggage rack that andy got me and it gives me more room to carry the welly's and beer and doesn't look out of place except I cannot see out of the rear view mirror

Luggage rack eh - cheeky! Look forward to seeing that as right now we are looking at strapping pots, pans and the kitchen sink to the rollbar....

In truth we also have an Alpina B10 coming down with us and he will be obliged to carry our bulky stuff if he wants to have friends to talk to when we get there!

Will come find Karting Nord sometime on Saturday, once we're sorted at our Maison d'Arnage.

It's an Englishmans birthright to whinge about the weather! So far this year everything I've tried to do has been hampered or ruined by the weather, Bromley, Goodwood, Brands, weekends I was planning to work on the house or car, family parties and I've been down to Portsmouth the last couple of days to visit my parents and had a nice day out planned with my mum for her 70th birthday and it tipped it down literally the whole time. Property in Spain and Greece is on the floor at the moment - very tempting!
