In the early days of ownership, I had a similar problem - crank it over and it didnt start. Thought it was the crankcase sensor, changed it, car started. Then failed a short time later, Turned out the RENIX unit was also effy.
I hate intermittent faults. Bad at the best of times, but then when mixed with French electrics turns into a nightmare.
