Message for Stephen Dell - A610/Le Mans Registers

Postby Paul Tindall » Tue Jul 17, 2012 9:23 pm

Stephen,

It's a few years since you completed, or attempted to complete the registers of all RHD A610s and Le Mans produced, and on the Le Mans register thread you said you would be publishing the register on the Members site "soon" - that was in 2008! I can't find the registers anywhere on the website - I thought they were to have been made accessible to the Club????

Would have sent you a PM but I still have a couple of PMs to you in my outbox sent weeks ago......................

 Good Luck Paul!

Like the photo section due to be released/updated in 2019

He won't release that info to us mere mortals as it might reveal a potential "barn find" that Mr Dell could unearth for £300....

Maybe Mr Dell if you did update/revise the club forum it could benefit from extra Clee type revenue with subscription renewals?

While I'm on my soapbox how about a full parts list/price plan of what you have hidden away?

Main new stock parts list has been on the website for ages. At least two years.

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... _Parts.pdf

For other parts if you want it we probably have it.

Re: Le Mans register, need a couple of bits of info from Turbodog to complete.

Re: A610 register, pretty much sorted and will soon be used by Phildini to find as many badges a home as possible.

The idea for both registers is that I put will up what I have in an interactive format and then members/owners can log in and update ownership details should they wish and add photos etc to create a permanent on line history/record.

Same deal for photos. I stopped updating the old galleries ages ago (did you not notice ;-)). That's outdated and no other forums do that. Members should upload photos themselves, preferably to something like an RAOC bucket to protect from lost links.

Site will grow, develop and be maintained much better if done by all of us and not just one. Have asked for help from those that have the know how to do the above and we are moving in the right direction but will take a bit of time to get things completely sorted.

In fairness to Steve, it was publicised on this forum, as Steve said, around two years ago to the extent I picked up on it and printed it out and have it in my GTA manual for reference.

Thanks for response re the registers Stephen, any predicted timescale for publication? Regarding the 'other parts' comment, do you have any original front A610 shock absorbers in stock (6001024642), and if so, how much? Did send PM re this quite a while ago but as I said, it's still in my outbox :( . The RHD stock parts list has always been there, as you have rightly said, but is there any chance of having a more generic list of the wider stock held by the Club ( I'm presuming that this stock constitutes a Club 'asset' - or am I wrong??).

With regard to the GTA Le Mans register, seeing as I am the only one with all the information I will make up a spreadsheet with all the info and put it on to the site. If you wish to see an interim register look at the post headed "How many Alpines left" dated June 8 2011. You will find this on page 8.
