It certainly was. Although I have to mention I couldn't see any Alpines anywhere when we were there, which was Saturday afternoon. I guess you're from 'the other club', so where were you situated, and what did you have on display? Half the trouble is it's getting too big to wander around all of it in single day.
I must stop going to auctions with my son, I bought the bloody Noble they had there!
My other highlight was meeting a bunch of Germans who had just bought the BTCC Lagune from Renault Paris. They have chassis number 99/02, which is the sister car the the one that was on display at Prescott on May. I really thought it was the same car. It's apparently destined for hill climbing over there until they have built up a big enough spares package to risk campaigning it in door to door stuff.
All in all, a fantastic weekend show, with Goodwood Revival standard track racing. Obviously my highlight was the Supertouring cars - and the auction....
I wholeheartedly agree, this club should have a presence there, and I for one would be happy to help organise this. If only my membership could get rubber stamped before my cheque expires. In the meantime, I'm off to see if the Noble boys are a little more inclusive.
A610 & GTA V6 Turbo.
