What Are GTA's Worth Now and are they selling?

Postby Danglydogs » Wed Sep 26, 2012 9:00 am

As title really Gents, Am I being optimisitic asking £3250 for mine :? ?

Not had any interest, to be honest I should finish it and MOT it (it doesn't really need anything barring cleaning discs up etc) but that then involves insuring it etc and its in the way now so want it gone.

Whats a realistic price? I have considered breaking it ( I used to own a dismantlers so know what to do :) ) but it'd be a shame with so few left on the road and it is far too good to break!

Your bob on with the price if it had an MOT. No MOT in my opinion it's worth £2k. Soooo, get it MOT'd!!!

The used car market don't forget is on the bones of it's asp so I'm not surprised you have had little interest. You ask clee about his 21 Turbo debarkle, a nice car which he literally can't give away

You can't break it either after spending all that time repairing it and giving it a respray that would be a real shame

trouble is mate its in the way  so you reckon only about £3250 with an MOT?

To be honest, as it is I'd drop to 2500 to get shut, any less than that and it'll have to go out in bits - we all know what rear lights are worth! would be a shame but at least in bits I can store it in the shed

It needs MOT .
If all it needs is disks then you'd be daft not to .I wouldn't break it after all that work + I think you'll be suprised how little it's worth in bits ++ you'd still have it in the way but in more pieces so double the space ...+++ it'll not be drivable .

A good one sold in July for £5250, the ad was well presented and the dealer said he could have sold it four or five times.

I am paying more than that for a Clee sorted car (maybe I am mad)

try sticking it on ebay France for 6k euros, you will be under cutting the french cars by a huge margin

Okay.... not interested in my interest then? Just to reiterate, I'm genuinely interested (not just tyre kicking) and will buy if inspection holds up...

Your best thing to do if interested mate is give me a ring tomorrow :)

the car is open to any inspection, if it doesn't go in next week i may well get it MOT'd and put the price up, at least if I tax it I can use it and park it on the road to clear the garage, or I may just dismantle it :D

Try to sell it to switzerland, could be that you can get twice the uk price!!
Most of us import exotics from uk, cause most of the cars are much much more expensive overhere.

I wouldn't know where to start Mate selling it in Switzerland.

Price dropped on advert to £2500, had 3 people ask about it now so hopefully it won't go out in bits

I think these days most buyers are looking for a nice original example ready to go car, the "no mot" or "needs little work to make good" only shift at very very low ££££ The buyer that bought the project car I think they have all hibernated.

No mate, i've found a few turnips about though :) i've been offered watches, vespas etc anything but cash.

Only one person has actually turned up to look.

I'm going to Mot it (just to prove chassis solid 8) ) and finish it i think
Dont need much time, will have a week off and do it all properly. paint underneath, recover the steering wheel, finish the carpets etc
Hopefully stop the messers when its readvertised at higher price :D
