Clean up the connections, mine has done this for a while. Had it up on the ramp yesterday and cleaned the connectors and renewed the wire and now it is fine. Also sorted dodgy speedo by renewing wire and connector under the car, so the problem is not always behind the clocks!
I have asked David G if he can advise about method of removal of slave, tips and advice for my mechanic greatfully received from anyone out there.
Thanks
I refurbed my clutch slave cylinder a couple of years ago. From what I recall, it involved disconnecting the hydraulic pipe (one nut - just like a brake pipe) and two 10 mm set screws (bolts) holding the cylinder onto the top of the bell-housing. From start to finish, the job, including bleeding took about 20 minutes.
