How do you do that?

Mr Skedge,
I will do a write up and stick it in the members area...
It is quite simple if you are happy to use a soldering iron and a craft knife. You can even re-code the receiver eye part, should the one in the car be at fault.

Sadly you may need to buy three or four eBay keys to get a recodable type, they all look the same from outside, but of the four I bought, only one was suitable.
If you have an a 610, the keys are electrically programmed (well mine were) but the eye is soldered/drilled. The eye and key have a defined relationship, but arent the same coding.
Once you have your recodable key I have written some instructions on how to do the recoding I can talk you through.
For a car that has mechanically recodable keys, you just copy one to the other.
On the immobiliser key I have no idea....but wil try phildin's suggestion next time to see if mine is the same.
Cheers
Lee

Quick update on USA ebay lights...

They arrived yesterday, and I have now fitted them. The beam pattern is correct and all happy!! Just the fog lights to sort now and its MOT time, so I can then register the car back to UK plates...

So they were selling lights which were only good for a right hand drive car then? We must stock up on them then!!

I would feel safe to know I had a back up.

The cars only came with one from new, so you are not missing one.

Nice one, just had a look and the nearside was cracked, so just ordered 2, Any luck with the high beams?. Also I have a crack in the nearside indicator so let me know if you find anything.
