 Easy now ,these things do take time and best not rushed
It needs setting up on the rollers before you put any real miles on it .The one just gone on was way off being optimised .It will run and drive OK and safe but .........but but it still had more than a std one even when running shite

Anyway ,sorry for the hijack Ced

Cedric, thanks for the invite, I'll have a look at dates, happy to come, but I have to say the Northern group is a cracking good bunch and be a shame to miss theirs if you have it on the same day...

Teglen, all I would say is it's best to get it setup right, than put lots of miles on it when it is likely less than ideal; and the difference in result is worth waiting if indeed there is any wait, than not; but I do understand your position. So many times on so many projects - from commercial to military, the rush to finish the last bits rarely shows well in the final result, and slightly dull performance becomes more important each time you get in it to drive than waiting a week or two, just a thought. Lee needed support today for Darren's, I made the commitment, and we did it; as it was I would have rather cancelled due to work pressure and go into work, but didn't. I'll happily support Lee best I can, and suggest we work out a date so that it can be setup to Lee's satisfaction as builder, and yours too as his customer. It will be worth it, and will work out trust me.. been there :-)
... A diamond is only a piece of coal that did well under pressure... PRV afflicted, may be I need to squeeze harder!!!!

It's hard work organising and getting people to come, not many appreciate what goes on behind the scenes.

I have found that the only way to get numbers up is to ring/email or PM people direct to tell them about it. Maybe Steve can supply you with Members names and contact details for your area so that you can get people to come?

Problem with the forum is that there is only a hard core of certain members that frequent it, other members tend to not be on here that often so won't even see your post

Upgraded your post to a sticky so it stays at the top

your right on all counts Martin i found feom experience that time on the phone and e mailing people directly is the best method ....back in the day before unlimited minutes deals i used to get £140 a month phone bills lol but a very good turn out. Its great to have area reps to organise local events for the club in fact i dont see why area reps cant rally the troops in their area when there are full meetings to help monsuer Dell other wise it all gets left to one person i know because i have done it for another renault club.

Anyway well done mogster  may even come to some events if i can afford a gallon or two of fuel in the new year

I can see where Miles is coming from but it's not been an issue for the past 8 years up north apart from when we shifted it down to the midlands for that breakfast club meet one year.

Even Polish (that's polish as in T cut not a man from Poland)Queen MellowYellow turns up in his minter every year 8)

To be fair, that Cosford Breakfast Meet was a bloody good meeting. Absolutely freezing day and a pretty stressful drive in that weather but a quality day.

First time I've been called a Queen from Poland big guy. Thanks for that ;-)

End of January probably isn't an ideal time to take out these old sheds (sorry, old French sheds) but I guess it makes life interesting.

It's the best time! (Other than getting salty grit all over it.)
