Just came across this: -

Technically interesting but a lot of effort for tight parking spaces. I won't be doing that with my car.

You probably can do that anyway with some of the cars with rusted door pillars!
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Great idea but seems to be hydraulically operated, so if the car breaks down you get to be stuck inside. With the legendary reliability is that a risk you'd run?
There is a similar, manual, kit for smart roadsters, not as cool as spyder doors but makes getting in and out easier, even that is 1000 plus fitting. Outch....

No they didn’t fit them as standard, but if it helps, these mirrors have found their way onto Renault Sport Spiders, All Venturi’s, Lotus Esprit S2’s, Big Hairy Chest 1990’s TVR’s, Aston Martin Vantage, Jaguar XJ220 and the McLaren F1 to name but a few, probably one or two others but they don’t spring to mind at moment.
Venturi 260 - Saphir (Bleu)
Renault Sport Megane 230 F1 Team R26 - Liquid Yellow
Renault Sport Clio 197 - Ultra Red
Renault Megane Maxim 1.5 DCi - Extreme Blue (Daily Runner)
Minari RS - Coral Red
Smart Roadster Coupe 80 - Spice Red

I knew that, still doesn't seem right. More useless info, the Mac F1, Lotus Espirit, Lotus Elan M100 and late Ginetta G33 all share the same front indicator.
