1988 GTA Turbo Cheap Project For Sale

Postby BIG_MVS » Thu Jan 10, 2013 2:30 pm

Due to yet another Alpine project I'm offering this GTA for sale.

It's a CAT C due to Engine Bay Fire.

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... php?t=6176

Good bits:

Full Leather
Air Con
Metallic Blue (best colour)
98k Miles with History
Good front Headlamp Glasses
Stainless Steel ART Exhaust
Recent Clutch and Rear Suspension Bushes
Paint in good nick.
Interior very nice
Solid Underneath

It comes with most if not all the parts to re-commision it (replacement loom, right hand side electrics, air filter housing, engine bay cover, new plugs and ht leads etc etc).

It's currently at RATS in Derby and is available for viewings there. Lee would be happy to carry out the work and it would make sense as it will save on transport costs for one and Lee is the best person for the job anyway.

I could have broke it for parts but it's far too good for that.

Just needs an enthusiastic new owner to take it on and get it back on the road.

The car owes me £2100 so just looking to get my money back. The parts to fix are included (would have cost around £500).

Ring or PM if you want to know more.

Plenty of options on this
It really is very solid and in good order throughout apart from the obvious .The fire was very slight .I have a replacement shelf to repair the crispy side and that is the full extent of the damage to the body .
It can have std lump or perhaps even half a liter more if wanted

On here

Plan is to have RATS fix it up, it needed saving. Not quite thought through what i'll do when it's ready as i love my atmo (always good to have a spare i suppose).
Edit: i should have said this turbo with a/c promises to be a great car..so im sure i'll hang on to both for a time..then will probably have a tough decision which to keep...or some tough explaining on why i need 2 to the mrs..who struggles to see why i need even 1 at times.

Good to see it go to a good home rather than the parts bin :D I'll drop the guts out sometime soon Dave and see what we have .It will have to be here at home for a while as the unit is full of lard with more due in the Spring .
I have that sunroof car coming here also so will do in tandem

Depends on price really ....Ebay has killed the 2nd hand car market and is only really good for ' project ' cars .I'd pop a classified ad on there though for good coverage .Link to this site though somewhere in the blurb .
I'd try the classic sites + pistonheads if I wanted a decent price for a decent car
Also the Jungle drums on here stir up a few punters .It's a shame the for sale section is a mess as I think that could help us all with sales/purchases .I can list on my site for anyone that wants .I just haven't had the time to sit and re-vamp it of late .It does seem to get traffic .I'll have to ask Dawn to look at it .

Yes it was here. As clee says Ebay Classified ad always good or Pistonheads (which I still get free advertising from?). Car and Classic also quite good and free.

Are you thinking of selling already Nick?

Martin

I may have to sell  Circumstances beyond my control that came out of the blue, but may mean that selling is the most sensible option.
