GTA + A610 Bonnets New For Sale

Postby stephendell » Tue Jan 08, 2013 11:34 pm

Found a box of new GTA & A610 bonnets while tidying up.

Got a good S/H one as well.

2 or 3 x GTA Renault Price NLA Offers around £350. (Late type).

1 or 2 x A610 Renault Price 1,235.02 GBP Offers around £500.

I guess most people will end up using a S/H one instead for £50 - £100 but at least if I post these up you know they are there!

Funnily enough I spoke to the boss at Samco about it today at Autosport.

He will try and resolve this next week.

The A610 boost hoses won't happen until 5-10 people pay upfront for a kit.

BTW a club member recently ordered an alternative silicone A610 hose kit from Simon Auto and I believe the number of hose that were correct of fitted was zero! So at least other people have teething problems...

All we need is the two uk specific front hoses remanufactured, preferably the complex one in two parts to allow fitting.
The club stocks of these wont last long as the hoses on all these cars are past their best and they need replacing if disturbed...in my experience anyway when I had one let go 700 miles after being disconnected and reused.
Looks like all the rear hoses shared with lhd are already available so getting samco to develop these seems a bit pointless?
Happy to commit to buying (and paying for) the front pair it others will.

Depends if you want them to match and want a quality hose rather than a cheap chinese copy!

At this stage I want the car to work, and there are some hoses that are close to unobtainable.....aside of the very limited club old stock.
I have nothing against Samco, aside of apparent issues about timescales for supply from earlier posts, which I am not close enough to know about the details.
We know that there are European sources( that maybe don't fit so well) for most hoses already but the European sources don't do the rhd specific parts.....so we need to get a source.
If I can contribute to getting the unobtainable ones made, I am happy to, but I am less sure about contributing to get a second source for something that I can already buy.
It's not a criticism of samco, it's an offer to help progress them making the unobtainable hoses.

I ended up getting this kit, which fits fine (minus the LHD front hoses) and seems to do the job better than my previous duct-tape-and-string solution. Annoyingly Lee found a cheaper one not longer after but at least I got the color to match my car. :)

I would still be up for a set of air hoses if they get made (and front coolant hoses if they were available without buying the set). Happy to pay in advance if it helps get them made.

I agree but you only get any response from Steve when it's in the "For Sale & Wanted Section"

Steve - Any chance you could post some Calendars for the Northern meet which I can punt on or give as prizes?
