Hopefully members will be a little more discerning than just looks and colour; so more importantly what are the piston area choices, and how do they compare to previous kits, and also to OE?

Cheers ,

I still like the 406 v6 couple calipers as an option. The spec of these new ones would be nice to compare etc

So for £360 I can get a set that will bolt on straight onto my A610? No other extras?

P.S. I am not interested in the supa dupa discs. A610 discs are big enough and I already have a new set to fit.

but not thick enough and they'll warp at the first sign of spirited driving with upated calipers and pads

They are used on the worlds fastest production car around the Nurburgring and the worlds fastest street legal dragster, so probably good enough for the GTA and I guess slightly better than OE. Alternatively you could save £100 or so and use some secondhand stuff off an old Peugeot

Basically they are the same as before just prettier, we recommend the D (4 x 38.6mm) piston option for GTA.

Tech bumph (FOR THE LOWEST SPEC CALIPER)

Application

The Billet 4 is fully dust sealed and an internal brake fluid gallery ensures that the Billet 4 is a consistently reliable choice. This superb caliper will accomodate disc/rotors from 240mm up to 400mm.

Features:

CNC machined out of top quality billet aluminium
Hand finished and hand polished for the best finish
Rigid design to eliminate flex
Internal Flow Crossover
High temperature seals
Fully Dust Sealed
Designed for cars up to 1250Kg

Specification:

Disc Width: 6mm up to 35mm
Piston Size: 4 x 34.6mm; 4 x 38.6mm; 4 x 41.2mm
Piston Material: Hard anodised billet aluminium
Colour: Black, Blue, Gold, Silver, Red, Economy (Silver matt finish with plain Logo)
Body Material: 6082T6 billet aluminium
Pad Swept Area: 95.68x50.7.7x10.75mm
Weight Approx: 1700g
Hydraulic Thread: M10x1.0
Radial Mounting: 152.40mm

We would recommend external fluid transfer for race use or a 0-60 time of less than 1 second

Thanks Stephen, good info. Is that the same piston area front and rear on this setup as recommendation?

Yes but as Andy says you'll need high quality disks not cheap pattern ones and if you use serious pads in anger you'll cook the disks pretty quickly. But for street and very occasional track use they will be fine.

Yes but ideally we recommend an adjustable brake bias valve (hidden from the MOT inspector of course). Alternatively smaller pistons on the rear and/or up to 1 grade softer compound on rear pads if available in your choice of pads.

A lot of this is personal preference depending on use as for example pad choice spinters and hillclimbers will need better bite from cold than racers.

Within reason with these kits, the more you spend, the quicker you'll stop.

Actually you will also need £100 or so of brackets, a £10 or so fitting kit and some new pads.
