Now that I've got my GTA back all sorted out after my recent mishap (see: http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk/PHPBB/ph ... =insurance ) I've bought a cheap everyday car for communting to work and to use as a general runaround. It's a 1994 Peugeot 306 1.9td.

My GTA is currently insured with Norwich Union for £484 fully comp with over 5 years no claims. I plan to change this policy over to the Peugeot and reduce it to 3rd part fire & theft and take out a new limited mileage classic policy for the GTA with another insurer. Looking through the threads on here, AON, Carole Nash and Classicline seem to be the best bets.

I want to ask though, since I'll be using my no claims discount on the Peugeot with Norwich Union, does this mean the classic policy insurers wont take my no claims discount into account when they quote me for insuring the GTA?

Norwich Union would only take my no claims discount into account for one car, not both. So the quote for the GTA rocketed to well over £500, even on a limited mileage! :x

The AON classic policies do not require any NCD as they assume you are using it on your daily driver. Premiums are not effected.

When you get a quote from AON, don't mention the club until after you receive your quotation, that way you can be sure you are getting your 10% discount  (assuming you are a member!)

When I bought the second A310 the additional premium was GBP 0 (yes nil)! and they're unlimited mileage.

I'd recommend everyone to check with AON. Look at as many as your boredom threshold will allow but make sure AON is one of them.
Oh, I don't work for them etc etc..

Have you told AON that you want Classic Car insurance with limited milage and that you have a daily driver car too, assuming that this is the case?
