**Group Buy** Stainless Steel Heat Sheild for GTA Turbos

Postby John Law » Fri Jul 19, 2013 4:41 pm

Hi,

I have come across the same rusted out, terrible looking old heat shields on many GTA turbos I have worked on. They rust through the mounting holes and rivets so can cause irritating vibrations and make the overall appearance of the engine bay unsightly.

These are no longer available through Renault/Alpine.

So... we are having new reproductions fabricated from 304L brushed stainless steel, they retain the pressings and swages and fit just like the original. They fit, perform and look just like the original only better as they are TIG welded, look lovely and will never rust.

The bespoke heatsheilds are usually £190.00 but the Group Buy price will be reduced to £169.00. There will only be 10 and it is first come first serve then they will be available but at the original rate.

Payments up front and a two week turnaround.

Regards,

John.

Out of interest, have you ever done the two heat shields for an A310V6?

I'll take one please... as long as it fits my early 1986 model. I'll take a photo of mine over the weekend for comparison.

Clee- PM Sent, thanks.

Teglen- Hopefully should be the same. I'll wait on your photos.

Johnb- Hi John, no I haven't but should be possible. Do you want me to get you an estimate? I have a 3 stud V6 A310 in at the moment that I could use the heatsheilds from as templates. What year is your A310?

Martin- I could do them but think most people would rather spend it on a stainless aftermarket back box.

It'll fit ...there is only one part number quoted for GTA/Lemans

Paid .I could do with a few for 610 as well as they are in no better condition .No point us both chasing up new parts so if you can ask about that John ?
There are some other small shields that we could do with ..exhaust header ones are always fecked

My A310 is 1980. The heat shields that I would be interested in are the single skin one between the engine pulley and the silencer back boxes and the double skin one between the back boxes and the rear light panel. The single skin one was missing from my car and the double skin was badly corroded.
I actually made new ones about a year ago from galvanised sheet, using limited equipment, but would be interested in a price for ones more professionally made.
