They could use the same engine that the F1 cars will use next year!
Alpine A110, Renault Safrane 2.5dt, Hudson Kindred Spirit (Renault powered), transAlp (Honda) and Ducati Multistrada

It does not look at all good, with Renault sport in general really. The Clio is not the best, the F1 engines are not up to scratch and the Alpine project looks very up in the air!! Maybe Mr Dell knows what is going wrong at Renaultsport HQ?

but, in short, they are claiming that there will be no change to the programme, inlcuding launch date of the new car and security of jobs at Dieppe despite the breakdown of the Caterham deal.

Given the way our Aussie Dollar is going through the floor, I expect the Alpine will be on the high side of $80K and not close to $60K, given the small numbers built. Perhaps a Megane 265 motor could be used, but I think the new turbo1600 is probably where it is at.
