Looks like I might be putting my blue GTA Le Mans on the CAR stand.

If I am, is anyone able to give me a lift back from Birmingham on Thursday evening (to somewhere in North London?) / a lift up from there sometime in the morning on the Sunday?

Save me hacking my way through central London to go there / back + avoid highway robbery train ticket prices.

Thanks, John

Blimey John, that's like Maradona asking Kenny Samson for a lift home after the 1986 World Cup Quarter Final!

What's the news on tickets Steve?

Can helpers park in the exibitors parking area  Want to show Brian his old motor so don't want to walk miles with him... Just if there is space mind it's not a deal breaker.

Does anyone know of any Argentinian car clubs attending the NEC this year? Perhaps I can get in touch with them - they might we willing to give me a lift back to London? 8)

Wow I don't believe it someone else on here has a sense of humour!

I think Paul and Cynthia Sage are at the NEC on Sunday so might be ok to give you a lift?

Some comments on the President’s/Skipper’s Saturday and Sunday team sheets.

1: Goal Keeper - That makes sense I guess, anything else and he might get a stitch eating his burger and spill his fizzy drink!
2 & 3: Right & Left full backs – Haven’t seen them play but I’m sure they will work hard in defence
4: Centre Back - Could be a problem on Saturday as we haven't got one thereby leaving a hole in our defence! On Sunday however we have experience, style and know how.
5: Centre Back - Has got his work cut out on Saturday but Sunday should have a more comfortable game alongside Mr Law, (Tony not Dennis).
6: Defending/Holding Midfielder - This makes sense with Sara holding everything together in front of the back four but surely Summer’s dribbling days are now behind her?
7: Right Midfielder/winger – Could be a weak spot here as the boy’s engine isn’t what it used to be but Northern Grit should see us through. Has a big target man upfront to aim at on Saturday and Sunday more of a terrier to feed! Relishing the challenge..........
8: Central Midfielder – Talented with a big heart and hardworking, would grace any team.
9: Centre Forward – A BIG Target man on Saturday and an industrious terrier type player on Sunday should pose any defence problems!
10: Attacking Midfielder – Strong team players on both days can’t see any problems here.
11: Left Midfielder/Winger – Saturday sees Cynthia playing out of position but we know her honesty will see us through. More of a worry is Sunday when the berth is empty!!!
12: Substitute – With a team of 10 on Sunday we just do not have this luxury but on Saturday the number 12 shirt has been given to debutant “Bite yer legs” Pete Ellens but remember we have a gap at number 4!! Come on skip give the lad a chance, play him from the start!

And remember the words of a certain Alan Hansen, “You won’t win anything with kids!”
