Wow that is in a poor old state, no amount of polishing is going to make that pig look good! However it would be nice to see someone take it on and make it look good as new.

It might look half reasonable with a jet wash but a risky proposition until the doors are open and the engine and front boot can be assessed.
Seems to be interest out there as the bidding has passed 2K and there are 5 days to go.
Ummmmm, should I do another?

Probably makes more sense than a GTA or 610 basket case but you're gonna have to find another 15k on top to get it sorted I'm sure :Mass

Up at £4650 now with a day and a bit to go.

Some people clearly like a challenge don't they? What was Tony's black one when he bought it?

I liked the racing blue one that was up for sale a while back. This one.... (Thank you WayBack Machine) http://web.archive.org/web/201207041751 ... 808551.htm

Obviously a bit more expensive, but as Lee pointed out at the rate of knots this is going up, plus factoring probably 10K to get it sorted (min) then it's not so far removed.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

No not this time :sarcasm

I did suspect it was something a bit special though and this was confirmed to me today (it's exactly what I though it was) hence possibly the reason the price might be a bit higher than you would expect.

I'm still not bidding though, but might email a couple of people that would be interested or maybe they can work it out :shhh

DMC Delorean Test Mule

Believed to be Barrie Wills (DMC) ex Company Car

Fuel injected engine (Volvo I think) and special billet wheels (presumably Delorean rolling radius). Will have to wait for an engine shot I guess.

Retro fitted with 5 speed gearbox.

The wheels were the clue as someone in the club has the spare...

Thanks for that.

It would be interesting to see more photos of the engine, inside and front boot. Do you know whether it was bought by a club member?

There's more than one DMC test mule out there, one had the auto gearbox for John Delorean himself. I'm just not sure that the provenance adds that much.

Having said that, great to see another one being saved!

Do you happen to know whether they also have a set of 15" 3 stud wheels that might be for sale :?: :?:
