Ok, so where to start… well CLee can post up the pictures of the car; it’s been in my possession since ’05 ish I think, forget exactly now, sans engine in the bay… well I got a box of bits that I pretty much junked on sight. I paid well over the odds for it originally, as I was look for a test bed to stick an engine… etc etc… long story, had collected a load of stuff, and that later was teamed up with CLee for JIL.. So this car became a bit obsolete, and left outside for ages (years) started more and more to show the signs. It has been used as a bird bath, chicken roost, and upside down nearly became a paddling pool… I jest, but it does live up to its name, and that funnily enough is how it’s going to stay! So what’s the point… the point is it is a sacrificial driving learning tool, with the competition to see who out of Lee and I can bend it first!
So can we get it from this pile of bits.. and yes I only have a 72.5mm crank for this, so if anyone has a 73mm to donate for the "Fast Car style Project Dog" (remember the Escort Mk1 they did... back from the first mag..), then that would be great...
To an Andreas style super jigsaw? I doubt it will look that pretty, nor do I think we have the patience to lay it all out, and then have to clean it all again! Laugh… But you never know..
More to follow, as we go and dig into the tat piles to see what we can pull out, you never know there might be a nice kipper in there! But the theme is to keep it a true bitsa, so you won’t find any fancy forged pistonies or other such goodies in here, Canadian lathe turning techniques will be used to their maximum, and will see how it comes out…
I still love this video…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WLOccckJ5oI’m trying to remember the late ‘80s I think late night channel 4 TV (about the same time as that mad student 2minute cooking programme, forgotten the name of that as well now…) show where the guest used to come on and try and win xyz in a quiz, but had to bring something they were going to sacrifice in the final if they lost – got smashed up, torched etc there and then, you get the drift. Some people brought their sofas etc, but the funniest was a couple that pledged their car and lost, and had to watch it being smashed up… it was just so funny, great TV!! LOL… as you can guess it didn’t remain on the air very long!! Pity, does say a lot about human psychology… still made great TV in my book! Can anyone remember??
