Insurance Time Again

Postby BIG_MVS » Sat Mar 01, 2014 9:16 pm

Just renewed my A610 with Classicline again (http://www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk)

£165 Fully comp inc full breakdown cover and european cover. Magic Darts!

Limited to 1500 miles (never done more than 1000 anyway) and £100 excess.

They do not charge you for admin changes (plate changes etc) either. Plus that quote was with my ahem "off" in my Blue 610 a couple of years ago and 3 points.

I cannot recommend them enough. :up

Wow, so you never do more than a 1k a year in it, wow... what's that a couple of tanks of fuel? But I guess it is a way of making sure you have got winter fuel in the tank all year round, ;)

haha+ lol :) yeah but in my defence I have done an absolute stack of miles in both Will's and JonV's, Will's was 840 miles a week for weeks, and Jon's was 350 a week for 3 or 4 weeks, so I'm in credit compared to your good self :pint

Can you actually get to (mainland) Europe from Cheshire on 1500 miles?
Ok you can provided you don't use the car at all otherwise, but I think that insurance company is onto a safe bet by including European recovery.....
Good price, and more miles that I will do in an a610 this year.... :(

...you probably can with a GTA speedo?...recorded mileage on gtas is a bit how can I say this "approximate" given most speedos either have "lethargic" moments ....or register 150 mph at standstill....

The 610 ones may be better..don't hear as many complaints...
Just remembered...All the damper fluid fell out of big mvs speedo when it got tipped up..so heaven knows what that reads now :sarcasm
Ahhh...I remember the days (BC) when I'd put 5000 miles a year on the gta...now I'm lucky to do 500....

Good to see you guys are really getting out to enjoy your cars lol...i bet I do more mileage sprinting and track days than you do on the roads !!! and the car get towed to events makes my £580 a year full comp unlimited mileage full European Recovery including all the usual legal benefits etc seem like even better value ...3 cars GTA Lemans GTA Atmo and a 21 Turbo on a collectors Policy.

Happy Days

Don't panic I can "top up" my miles so to speak to increase range. For my weekend and UK meet jaunts 1500 is plenty for me.

Yes it is looking grim for a trip to France again this year, Classic Le Mans has been replaced by a trip to a field in Staffordshire surrounded by the VDUB Scene massive, sigh....

MOT certificate says otherwise Mr Gamblin :super

Anyway a pre warning to everyone, switch off your mobile phones tonight as I'm out with the Irish Fella who likes to get people tipsy and go through their phone book at 2 am. This could be messy, wish me luck...
