Knocking Noise Gta Atmo

Postby Felipe » Tue Mar 11, 2014 5:44 pm

Good evening guys. Car not been driven for a while but managed 25 ish miles all OK before taking car for MOT. Car passed with no issues, however today a knocking noise has appeared from the front. It dissappears when the brake is applied. Just wanted to ask the experts for any thoughts on what it might be. I will remove the wheel and check the obvious etc..... but wanted to ask if there was something obvious or a problem someone else has experienced before.

Any helpful advice (watch outs etc...) greatly appreciated before this weekend when I plan to have a go at fixing / uncovering the problem.

With any luck it's just something loose that needs tightening.

Keep smiling :)
At last I bought one !

Someone has something similar years back I seem to remember. Turned out to be wheel nuts being loose....

Just been outside with the torch, and bingo........ Wheel nuts on passenger side really loose. Have just retightened them and will take for a spin later on one of the many taxi runs for the kids to make sure the knocking noise has gone. Hopefully it was as simple as that !

Thanks for the suggestion :up :up :up

Good result especially when it's cheap.

Occam's Razor - the simplest solution is most likely to be correct. Often not the case with GTAs. :crazy
