I assume springs aren't included?
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Hello Stephen,

Are these still available? Need a pair of rear shocks for my GTA. Are there any at GHQ, or can you push me in the direction of somebody that might have some.

Thanks

Fitting new Spax coilover kit to GTA Turbo .Front toparms seen better days but the rest looks OK .Test for ride next week and see if the springs need any adjustment on rate .
RATS offer this full kit for GTA or A610, dampers are specific to each model and have 34 settings.

GTA Spax coilover setup all fitted and tested .
Bottom platform is at about midpoint on both front and rear and with springs under load so plenty of room to play either way .Still got to play with the damper settings but it all feels good to me for road use/speedbumpothole city .Rear might want to go a tad softer but it's all down to the customer as far as that goes :up

Picked up the car on Friday, then drove 220 odd miles back home yesterday.
Suspension feels more rigid than previous OEM. Dampers are set roughly 10 clicks from soft.
I don't think this needs to be anymore stiffer for road use, but at it gives the ability to move to a harder setting for the occasional track day blast. Going over cattle grids through the New Forest was particularly harrowing !!!

I'll post back some further feedback later. Overall it feels more planted than before.

Thanks for the feedback Paul .
I think they are pretty spot on at those settings for everyday use .I have yet to install the A610 units and get some test time in but apart from spring rate I can't see there being any issues .The dampers are specific to GTA or A610 .

I have to go through RAOC to obtain the Spax but the rest of the kit is more or less off the shelf .Ali tops can be painted.anodised or powdercoated in most colours if required but will add a week or so .Springs are std coilover type ans usually come in black or blue .
I would advise fitting new front lower bush and also top rubbers/washers all round as you have done .

We could still do with some camber adjustment ,especially on the rears so I'll have to look at all that again and see if a more user friendly method can be employed .The JIL toparms have been made so we can widen track a tad in case I chopped the new driveshafts a bit to close ......there is loads of movement available and we will weld it all up solid once we know where it needs to be .On slicks and solid mounts so it won't be anything like std .

Bit more feedback.

Decided to change the ride height at the front - raised it slightly
Altering the height of the platform appears to be pretty easy; slacken off the lower platform ring and then turning the upper ring didn't require much effort.
I've yet to fiddle with the damper settings - probably turn them all a few clicks and see how hard the ride is - steady there misses!!!! :)
