Anyone seen any data from Ecup spec ? I need a starting point ......best guess otherwise .

Yeah I know pretty much everything about EC cars, what do you want to know?

Mainly camber settings and tow so we don't end up scapping an expensive set of rubber testing ..

Don't know, the EC cars weren't fully adjustable, but they used different lower wishbones, wishbone retaining bracket, upper arm and even hub carriers, so who knows what differences were built into the fabrication as standard.

As for the rest of the car, 25 turbo front carriers, hubs. 25 turbo discs and calipers front and rear with adjustable bias control, vent ducting from the front bumper to the front discs, steering rack is 2 turns lock to lock, shocks are de carbon coil overs, original diameter springs, spring rates are exactly double OEM, thicker anti roll bars front and rear, gear linkage is short throw, gearbox has the 4 planetary wheels, turbo is the same as the 25 Turbo Bacarra unit, .48 turbine, 55 trim T3 wheel, adjustable fuel reg, devil single exit, deeper intercooler, larger radiator, uprated engine mounts, clutch and master cylinder, rear subframe and turrets different.

For want of an exact answer Lee, I'd be tempted to find a local geo place who know their race cars (Porsche good example perhaps as also rear heavy!) and get it corner weighted.

If you can't get exact geometry details (no doubt each team was running differently anyway) then I'd probably just use the existing GTA numbers to start with, set the ride height and corner weight and tweak from there. You'll probably find the ride level will dictate much of the geo anyway as you'll be going lower.

Most racing cars will run more camber than their road going equivalent (let's face it you're not looking to get a set of tyres to last 12,000 miles). Some -ve camber being the norm for race set-ups obviously as it then increases the grip when it's leaned into a corner.

Toe, not sure but the toe-in at the rear is designed to counteract the tail weight and aid stability ie lessen oversteer. You're not looking for that, (think F16 fighter or Lancia Stratos) - dynamic instability equals responsiveness. Hence if it was me, I'd keep rear toe between neutral to around the same if possible. Front's nice and easily adjustable anyway, rear will be stuck with what the shims can do.

All my humble opinion of course. I'm sure there's an old EVO mag I have somewhere discussing the mystery of suspension tuning. If I find it I'll scan you a copy.

corner weights I can do and we can adjust, angle measurements I can do accurate enough for what we need now - and a string computer works beyond our limits for now; what Lee was asking is what is the EC suspension geo, don't care what it is made up of, just the numbers - toe, camber, castor in the neutral position, wishbone lengths would be good, but we are rather stuck with what we have and the gta rate of camber change with deflection (tyre temps will tell us if we need to dial in more static camber). Yes can add more complexity, but the above is the easy adjustments with the hardware... roll centres front and rear would be good David, and cog, sith Lee's new hoist I'm sure we can have a go at finding it... lol ...may be not... joke...

All help appreciated Darren but to the specific point, if it doesn't work out with bends, we'll stick to straight lines! lol!

Cheers Darren ,yes we can take a best stab at it based on similar layouts ,would just be nice to have some' horses mouth ' info .Top arms I've had made with loads of adjustment right up until we hit the shock + can accomodate a wider track with lower inner wisbone mount bracket/frame mod if required .

At the minute I'm on to plonking in all the fuel systems but running out of budget on that so we will just have to make it work with what we got new shineys turned up the other day ..I need to get teflon lines and an fittings + a higher flow lifter pump .....

There are quite a few more things that aren't even in the parts book, but they are not 'official' Europa cup.

Also the parts book doesn't quote spring rates, spring type, or turbo spec etc..
