ok.. but you do know if you click the pictures they will open in a new window at their full size, and now we have added the ability to upload bigger size images too.... no need to resize from your phone etc.

Yes but I don't want to hop to every pic in a thread and it just looks wink with the thread 'pushed over' to one side .

.
I'm with Lee, lose the twitter feeds as soon as you are in a thread as well, wasted screen area :-)

Text box in IE has issues as well as soon as you fill the text box with text, doesn't shift text up and side slider doesn't help as it jumps back down.

Thanks,
Martin

Hi guys,
I have read your comments, and taken note... Mark puts allot of time into those Twitter feeds, so I had to add them.
To change the template, so they only show on the title page, is low on the list of things to sort, and not as easy as a quick click of the mouse or line of code. We just want the site running at 100% before we start moving stuff, but comment noted and we will look at this when things become stable. I am sure we can accommodate something.
Thanks for the comments
Vince..

Hey Guys.. thats a pretty good point. I know we can have the left hand side stuff only shown on the other pages, but as the links are pretty important/convenient, what I would actually like to do is place them in a slide out panel once your looking at an actual topic - that way they aren't causing loss of screen space while still being accessible.

As vince mentioned however this would take a while to implement, as there are some other things we are working on right now and hope to have out soon.

I seem to have issues posting with images.
Photos are in Photobucket, I select either IMG, URL options but it just inserts the web address of the photo but not the photo itself.

Why use Photobucket? you can load directly to the site server.... this is why we did this to try and make photo uploading easier.

Could you give a short explanation of how you do it?

Here, here.

I didn't realise that was the case. So why still have the Img URL tabs on the top banner when replying / posting topics ?

Easy as 1,2,3

To upload an image to your posts, simply click on the "Upload Attachments" button below the post box (1), then select the file you want to upload (2). Then simply click "Add the file" (3) and it will be attached to the bottom of the post.

You can keep doing this for up to 10 attachments per post.

If you would prefer to have the image in line with the post.. (as art of the post itself), you can do so by putting your cursor where you want the image to be in the post, then select the "Place Inline" button (4) for the file you want to use. you can also add a caption/comment/description for the file if you want too.

IMG button is still available, and you are welcome to continue using it if you wish, however I would suggest using it for images that are already online that you have a URL for.. for a more reliable way of doing it however.. we definitely suggest giving the attachments a go.

Hope it helps.

Sean.

Thanks Sean, did a dummy test which worked, easy as 1,2,3 as you say but just need to juggle file sizes as the first attempt failed as the file size was greater than 500 kb.

Thanks Sean, I was going to do this but got side tracked with GTA Clutch issues, and a new Flying UAV Camera I recently purchase.. As for the file size?? I thought we had increased that, so Miles could upload directly from him iPhone?? maybe we need to check that again.. but thanks for sorting this Sean.

OK just had a quick look at the photo permission settings. If you think we need to change them let me know...
