Car Fest North Oulton Park 1st - 3rd August 2014

Is it really £120 extra to pitch a tent for a couple of nights? If it is that much, you can pitch it in my garden for considerably less and I'll even do you a free fry up.

I have just re-read Stephen's prices. I now read it as I need to pay a total of £210 for a weekend ticket, (car plus two adults), and camping. Stephen is this right? if so I will send the rest of the money as soon as you confirm.

Paul...the camping is extra and £120 per 6x6m pitch (based on the power of google...see below)....but let Steve confirm. more than one tent per pitch is ok I guess as long as we don't exceed the size, or 6 people.

I understand that Car Club camping is charged at £100+VAT per pitch for the duration of the festival. Camping (in the Car Clubs and Exhibitor campsite) must be booked in advance as spaces are limited. Pitches are issued on a first come, first served basis. Camping pitches are 6x6m, accommodating a maximum of 6 people per pitch. The site provides access to water, showers, toilets, sanitary and refuse disposal. If you require a power supply (for caravan or motorhome) this will be charged at an additional £50 +VAT. The Car Clubs and Exhibitor campsite is open from 12pm midday on Wednesday until 12pm on Monday.

RobS - Welcome, I have no problem with you coming on the Friday and Saturday. Ideally though and it's easier if you can drop your car off Thursday night, where do you live?

I am in Rugeley, about an hour down the A51 from Oulton Park. It might be difficult getting there on Thursday night, but can be there early-ish on Friday morning

Dave. Good work fella. I guess we could put two tents on each pitch, that would make it £60 per tent and much more affordable. But as you say we should wait for our leader to proclaim on the subject. STEPHEN?

Okay who else is camping? I understand it is just us and Dave Williams so according to his earlier post he an we will be sharing a pitch! Dave is that correct?

Yes we are out on the camping front. Her in doors doesn't want to camp To be fair we are going away camping for a week in North Wales early doors Monday so could be wise. Also looking at the pitch size 6m x 6m would have been snug for 2 tents and a VW camper so it's probably for the best.

As far as I know Paul it will be just you and Dave camping.

If anyone would like to go to this on Sunday for the one day then give me a shout. I will come if no other interest but really should be helping the wife pack for our camping trip on the Sunday.

Paul - so I guess MVS may have already paid for "half a pitch"..
MVS - if you need kids tickets you can buy direct, or speak with Mr Dell as there might be an option... ??

Just to clarify I have paid just £90 so far just for the tickets so I guess you need to sort out the camping bill with Steve.

I'll get some childrens tickets from ebay like I did last year as the organisers wanted £50 per childs ticket for the weekend last year unless this has changed Steve? It's £10 per child ticket per day so not sure where they got the £50 from...

Thanks Martin - the kids6-16 tickets were £10 for the day or £26 for the weekend - but they show as sold out on the Carfest North site for sat/sun...but as you say unwanted tickets are probably available on gumtree/ebay.

Paul - looks like you owe Mr Dell 30 - to make 150 total.

Mr Dell..So it's then one car club ticket (for the 7 cars and 14 passes), and one camping pitch. This looks like the current state of play...(and you may need a wristband (if not already) for Summer...free for ages 0-5 - but you might need to "buy" it from the carfest website...you can still do this one for each day with a £2 transaction fee...I had half thought about bringing George - but he has other plans !!)
