Be careful with the ground wire, in lay mans terms please clarify the following:
a) Ignition on - Fuel pump primes for 2-3 secs then goes off = no good
b) Ignition on - Fuel pump keeps pumping all the time = good, go and test drive and report back

Does it though? I am still waiting to see and for Steve to confirm the above on ignition. You really do need a good earth to make it work trust me I know.
