New GTA atmos owner,needs advice.

Postby Tallman 1 » Sun Sep 14, 2014 9:47 am

Dear Experts,
From a previous forum article I am confident on using a trolley jack and stands to support the rear sub-frame, but still unsure on how to safely raise the front. I have a slow puncture on the front but with mixed Tyre brands, should I repair or replace both and do not trust a tyre depot to raise safely at present.

The rears are 10 year old Marshalls and the car handles well, however I was considering biting the bullet and replacing all with Toyo Proxes Tr1, your feedback would be appreciated for this item and as you can guess I have quite a few items I would like some advice on as a new owner.

Thanks for listening

Hi .
If you use the rear jacking points then the whole side will lift BUT I would only do this as a last resort ....on the roadside etc .Front end ,jack on the subframe at the triangulation near the leading edge of the wheelarch ,where the bracket for ARB is .

ABS .... don't you speak Typo miles??

Maybe a close up picture of where to jack, would help with any confusion... * finger pointing at the part etc?? *

ARB...could be "a rusty bit"

...but I happen to know it means "anti roll bar" in this case...Lee replaced an ARB bush for me recently...

Vince,
I knew he did not mean ABS. Haha
Cheers for the answer Dave.
But I gather just below the vertical support as shown in the picture, next to the ARB.
