Nice one Lee ... :D :D :D .... Where did you get the pic from ?
Just one small detail though .... 1 "MICRO FARADS" is a millionth of 1 "FARAD", so please don't try to fit that one ..... it will most probably drain the battery just trying to charge it up. :( ..... and take a long time too.
I have never seen a 1 or, in this case, a 1.5 Farad Capicator before ..... I knew they would be big, but .......................... I like it. :Cheer

Haha,
Lee it's german they like to over engineer everything.
I'm sure it will be fine with then big dam tunes. Although me thinks you need to instal it in series with the exhaust! Being the loudest and only note Jill will be making..

Yeah, that will do the job, LOL :-) ... house mate and lift provider back in my days at Uni (so a good few years ago), had a setup that he couldn't start the car with the radio switched on... be nothing now to todays loud boy systems, but was a good laugh back then even :-) ... takes me back...

FYI the value of the noise suppressor on each of the rad fans is 0.456 micro farads from measurement.

Jon, are you running yours without a suppresser now or did you find a replacement? I've got the same issue following a pump change. I've read that the suppressor is also there to stop electrical arcing that limits pump life. It might be costly to leave it off. Has anyone removed this and had no problem for some years?

I have run mine for years without one.
Doesn't seem to be an issue.

Just checked and it looks like the Bosch 044 has built in noise suppression. Happy days.

Thats what I'm running and without a suppressor. I would say that the radio is worse than before but I use the radio app on my phone and run it that way so no problems....

Personally, if there is a Renix / Fenix ecu inside, I would fit and run some noise suppression at the pump.

Funny little note, I think it was either a govt facility or an airport used to run a fleet of Renault Espace's around the facilty as site vehicles. Anyway, they were having odd signal interferrence issues that couldn't be explained until they stuck one of the Espace's in an EMC chamber and it was bleeding rf noise like the proverbial... I think they were quickly junked off... LOL....

Just a quick note on this suppressor subject. I decided to check the fuel pump suppressor on my Alp, and also check and clean the connectors only to find that on my 1990 Alp, NO SUPPRESSOR IS FITTED. :o :o :o .................. and as such, no connectors to worry about. :up
As I do not get any interference on my radio, it appears that there is no need for them. :Cheer

THE suppressor is fitted on the rear fuel pump on turbo cars only hence no suppressor on your car John

Thanks Andrew ..... I stand corrected then.
I had rather assumed that both fuel pumps were suppressed on the turbo, but we learn a bit more about these cars all the time. :up

... nor do you have John, a Renix 1 ecu with no line or input signal filtering (later revised in subsequent designs) trying to determine jitter, knock level and concordance with tdc amongst a pea soup of electrical noise... context I have mentioned several times. :up
