Rear windscreen connectors

Postby pgoldsmith » Sun Oct 19, 2014 1:52 pm

Both my heated rear screen connectors have departed from their positions on the screen.
Can anyone recommend a good conductive epoxy to stick them back on?

By the way, I haven't run my GTA without the engine cooling cover before, but I have a 'squeak' at the rear :Butt and by process of elimination I wanted to rule out the cover.
No cover makes a difference on the noise front doesn't it didn't realise how much it suppresses it.

Or you can use conductive glue (the stuff with silver particles in it). I used that before and then reinforced it over the top with some glue & tape.

You might be able to solder if you're good and use some flux, but the glass tends to act as a massive heatsink so it's not as easy as all that.

I've still got some silver glue. I was going to fix Jon Viola's for him. Pop round Jon when you get a mo.

This sort of stuff. http://www.amazon.co.uk/ELECTRO-CONDUCT ... B006UJGB7Q

They sell it in Halfords and Maplins also.

I've used this Frost Fighter stuff in the past. Works a treat.

Got them direct from the internet a few years ago.

I went for the kit http://www.frostfighter.com/defroster-repair-tab-bonding-kit-2000.htm and they shipped directly pretty quickly.
