Motors tv on freeview

Postby eastlmark » Wed Oct 08, 2014 5:20 pm

From Tomorrow, Thursday 9th, Motors TV will be on freeview channel 71. so no more Whinging about not being able to see motorsport on TV for free anymore (not that Motors has ever been charged for).
Just in time to see the Alpine team go for a second consecutive ELMS championship win on 19th October.
(not to mention Nascar nationwide series every week and Bathurst Aussie v8's this weekend, you lucky lucky people!)
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Simon it's time I'm afraid to get your wallet out and replace your TV.

I tell you something, never seen a better picture yet than an on form Sony Trintron.

Motors is on HD freeview only (although its not in HD bizarrely) if that makes a difference? and yes will require a re tune.

Guys, this is a Freeview HD TV I am using, no expense spared, I won it in a raffle for a pound.
YES I have retuned it, even reset it to original install, 3 times now. Still no Motors TV.

Any ideas from you AV experts?

Not an expert but my LG normally sorts itself out and doesn't require a retune. Motors TV was still showing at 240 and couldn't be received - "your device is not compatible".

I did a full auto retune and channel 71 appeared running Motors TV just fine. Also got some more Freeview HD channels (I don't think I had BBC 4HD before).

This page might help some more http://www.motorstv.com/motors-tv-now-available-on-freeviewyouview-channel-71

It details TV compatibility. Mine is from 2010 which would fit with their suggestions

I have a Freeveiw+ HD box & Freeveiw HD TV both about two years old, but I still cannot get Motors TV on channel 71. Both the box & TV still lisit it on ch240 and this after many retunes :down
So could it be a transmitter area variation, some have it & some don't at present??
