direction indicator removal

Help! My second GTA (1990 D500) had the front panel and bumper cover removed and refitted for the previous owner, but whoever did it did a bad job of aligning things.
So I've removed the bumper cover, and got the front panel to the point where it is almost ready to slide off, but it seems to be held back around the area of the turn indicators. The manual I have doesn't detail how to remove those, and I can't for the life of me see how the heck they are fixed.
Any thoughts/suggestions anybody?

Here is a pic from the manual of how to do it.
It might be easier if you remove the boot liner .... if you have not already done so.

Top tip. If you're going to remove the boot liner then run a couple of strips of masking tape down the inside edge of each wing (along the shutline basically). The bottom of the liner is very rough and it's easy to catch it against the wing and scratch the paint in the process - this gives some protection.

And the boot liner is easier to remove with two people as it's a bit cumbersome.

The indicators (as per JohnC's post above) may have been bonded on also. Is it the nosecone you are trying to remove? This is also bonded in places as well as screwed.

If you mean the nose cone doesn't want to come off and it seems to be fastened where the indictors are and I am assuming the front wings are still on, my money's on the the m6 bolt up in the top of the front wing above the indicator.
The little right angled brackets shown in JohnCs scan from the manual. Fasten wing to nose and vice versa.
Difficult little beggers to get and sometimes freeze up and then want to turn and start chewing up the nosecone and or wings.

John - mine doesn't have the clips like on your diagram, instead it has one metal one under the trafficator unit that the unit slides on to - which in my car had gone a bit rusty.
Turbell - you were on the button, the little bolts were actually in pretty good nick.
so I've not got everything apart, and have started cleaning it all up pre-reassembly.
The car was imported at six years old from the UK, and is basically rust free - not quite as good as my NZ-new 86 D500, but close. The sealants don't look/feel anything like described in the manual, and the rubber foam bits have all collapsed. So from here is it sort all that out, reassemble and get alignment right and then onto the other jobs.
