Thank you Trevor.. Payment received!

Look forward to seeing you all at Goodwood. I hardly had any time to look at all the amazing cars myself last year with everything new going on.. This year will be different, I will spend time wandering about more and chatting to as many of you as possible. :up

looks like I will miss this years as I have holiday booked for the 2wks prior to this and will be working this weekend.

have fun all that go (have a quiet one :shhh :shhh :shhh )

btw I have read through the terms and rules and cant find any mention of decibel limit for this event, would hate for anyone not to be allowed out for breaking a limit that is not mentioned prior to going

It's not immediately obvious so will make sure that it's made clearer on the website.

Limit is 98db static. There is no guarantee you will get out if higher than this but depending on how nicely you spoke to the noise testers cars up to 105db were let out unofficially including Jon viola.

Better to be safe than sorry though and be well silenced.

Upper limit at goodwood is 105db but only with 5 cars on track at any one time and we were running up to 10 hence 98db. As clee said its monitored and averaged over the day so people being idiots and revving up on the parade laps at lunchtime can reduce the limits for those later so please be considerate.

The southerly location is another nuisance for many folks; though it is helpful for cross-channel visitors.

A think the organisers are looking to build on the successes of last year. Goodwood was a lovely venue with a quite forgiving track.

Thanks Kett :up

Nail hit on the head there pretty much! A lot of consideration was given when choosing a venue for this event, with Goodwood ticking the most boxes for us.

We wanted an upmarket venue for and upmarket event. Having the venue within easy reach for our continental cousins to perhaps be tempted over too was something we were also keen on. Infact, Goodwood was a venue mentioned frequently by Clio v6 Passion.
Perhaps, looking ahead and if we think its appropriate, we may look at moving the event.. but for the foreseeable future it will be remaining at Goodwood.

Further to Stephen's comments regards noise limits.. whilst Goodwood were very flexible last year, please remember that it is a 98db static test limit. The odd car may be allowed slightly over this, but that remains at the discretion of the Goodwood team. Their decision is final, so it is up to each track user to ensure their car is of a suitable standard, including the noise level of their car. 98db.

There have been a few questions regarding insurance or taking out additional insurance.

Origine RS is the Organiser of a Track Day and has elected to purchase the Association of Motor Racing Circuit Owners public liability insurance and follow their code of practice for member circuits.

Goodwood is the Venue Operator and an AMRCO member circuit.

This is the required public liability cover in the event of accident or injury. It does not cover damage to your vehicle. You will need to check with your insurer if you require additional cover. Some policies include track day cover others don't. The majority of people do not take out separate insurance cover for track days and have no problems but you do so at your own risk

For further information please read the AMRCO Code of Practice.

Finally got around to booking this one! I went for the PM afternoon x 3 track time @ £95. Can you confirm this is all I need as I read it that my entry ticket for 1 and track time is all included in this price?

BIG MVS are you still in at that hotel? Anybody else in there?
