Postby miha4x4 » Tue Mar 17, 2015 3:39 pm

Hello I am a new proud owner of 1990 GTA turbo, the car is on the way to USA from Japan and I need to get a production month for my car in order to clear the customs here in USA. I was wondering if someone can help.
Here is my VIN: D 501 -174 J

Welcome!

That's not the full VIN number. It should be on the right hand rear turret in the engine bay? That looks like a vin for the Japanese market. We need the full VIN to be able to try and help.

Hi Another LHD Japanese Alpine.
The blue oval plate on LHS turret has a Fabrication number eg K004441
This can be used to trace year of manufacture. Also the jack in mine is date stamped 1988
No VIN # on RH turret The square Vehical plate above the Blue oval plate Has Chassis # but no model year
Good luck with Customs
