Nice one Peter....Steves car was a work of art! It looked as though it had just driven out of the factory.....or at least the works competition department!
I agree on the editing front...I may start a poll!!!!

Have got the new Teesside event coming up on bank holiday Monday next week. Have managed to get the car back together and its all working fine now. Not a lot of opposition at that one....my main rival in my old Rover who I should beat (providing nothing goes wrong!) and a Nissan Sunny......suspect its one of the 4wd turbo ones so it could be v. quick....lets hope it doesnt rain or he will have a serious advantage! The circuit isnt properly set up for motorsport yet as its only ever been a track day place up until now....there isnt a lot of room in the paddock for trailers etc so the entry has been limited to 40 cars.

Peter, only 40 cars allowed to enter!
It must be towards the higher price range for entries or very cheap? But you properly get 4-5 timed runs??
I agree with you on the weather, hope it does stay dry but it is a Ban..........................
I am going to keeping quiet

Its limited entry as the track hasnt even got an MSA motorsport permit yet......this is the first ever event run at the place and they have to run 3 before they get their permit (a bit catch 22 if you ask me!) there is also a capacity limit on single seaters of 1300cc until they get their permit. Because of all this entry is cheap....£65....not bad and we should get 5 or 6 runs I reckon.

Another day another trophy! What a botch it was to get....my turbo oil feed broke its home made gasket and drenched the paddock in oil.......made another but all the oil had soaked into my turbo wrap and caught fire at the end of the next run....thanks to some quick acting marshalls no damage was done. Clocked a competetive time at the last of the day and got first place!!! :D Teesside was not what you'd call GTA friendly....had the tightest 3 connecting corners Ive ever seen....off turbo in 2nd uphill and on full lock.....botch!!!! Good long straight helped to even it up a bit.

Well-done Peter,
I also managed to bring home some glassware but only a second place one :( The MkII Escort despite breaking a half shaft on the first timed run done a cracker of a time I must admit and took the class win. Martin Groves smashed the course record, which is now down to 25.85s, which is going some with speed trap of a 146mph.

Well..Harewood beckons. Entry list is here - http://www.harewoodhill.co.uk/HwoodEven ... sat_report

Looks like I will be aiming for 4th (maybe higher depending on who is driving the 2nd Evo and the Porsche 996). Hopefully the weather will be better than it was at Donnington!!!!!

This weekend was the last two championship rounds at Gurston, and it turn out to be a P P P weekend with only getting 3rd on both days :( :( and seriously flat spoting my front tyres on Saturday, so I had a couple fifty pence pieces on the rears which made heavy braking interesting
I hope you have better luck than me at Harewood Peter?

Managed fourth behind the 2 Evos and a Porsche 996 911....not too bad. Nearly came last due to a bad misfire but got it sorted.
Todays result makes me class champion in the series!!!! :D :D
