89 GTA Turbo at Auction.

Anyone seen this ?.

I think it looks a bit ropey to be honest.

Check out the engine bay, what a mess! Looks like a 25 turbo engine has been lobbed in. No cooling on the RHS of the engine bay, later engine twin fuel reg but a vented early oil filler cap. Strange. Maybe that's what's known as the "Cylinder head overhaul"

I agree there. I'm not sure what's going on with those yellow water hoses either - seems to tee off the upper hose to the expansion tank but where does it go then? Looks to me that there's water cooling on the turbo and that's how it's plumbed in. So a 25 Turbo layout, shoe-horned into a GTA bay?

Agreed, looks ropey, can't comment on what's going on in the engine bay but I bow to your knowledge. Strangely though I like it in yellow.

Perhaps not one for the purest..in terms of colour..and go faster stripe
On the plus side...i did note from from the boot shot it has had AC fitted (as well as over spray).
..but given the engine mods...who knows if the ac works.

Not my cup of tea. Don't like yellow generally (with one or 2 exceptions) and especially on GTAs. Horrible Image rims, interior looks tidy though and its pretty much all there. Definitely looks like a 25 lump though - and the likelihood of it having 250bhp and the air-con working 0-5 % :0).
