Well here we go again.......attempt 4 or 5 at restoring my GTA to full use.

Can anyone tell me if this gasket set would be suitable for my 1989 atmo?

.
Neil,

Is this a continuation of the end 2013 issue, or have you change the gaskets since?

They will do the job, as I said last time, can't vouch for the quality, and this is the old design package with the teflon valve stem seals which I would ditch...

Cheers now,
Martin

I spoke to these folks about that gasket set...it's made by a company with the name of a Greek god...atlas?persius, thesis maybe? Not a well known brand anyway.
Maybe Ok for an atmo, but more of a risk on a turbo and definitely a long shot compared to German made gaskets. However a full gasket set from Simon Auto's is 250 euro....
You pays your money etc...

Thanks for the input guys.

It's the same issue as 2013 I just never got as far as getting the engine out then or since.

Will try and stick at it this time!
Cheers

I'm trying to get a pair of turret pockets made locally by a friend and I've passed him the photos and dimension drawing from this thread http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3049&hilit=turret+pocket&start=30 (page 3 I think)

He's come back to me saying that he needs one of the corner angles from each piece in order to cut and make them accurately. It doesn't look like the guys who used the drawing to get some made are active on the forum anymore so i was just wondering if anyone else had any info that would help?

Thanks
Neil
