Hello from long term Renault nut!

Postby r5gordini » Wed Nov 18, 2015 5:22 pm

Hi All,

I am Andrew, otherwise known as R5Gordini - I used to run a site by that name. Gladly amalgamated with http://Turborenault.co.uk.

I have got all sorts of Renaults:

1984 Renault 5 Gordini Turbo
1986 Renault 5 Turbo 2
1989 Renault 5 GT Turbo EBS
1992 Renault 21 Turbo Quadra

For more details see:

https://turborenault.co.uk/t12374/

And my collection is set to grow (temporarily!). Looks like I will be selling my Gordini Turbo to make way for the new acquisition.

Watch this space! All will be revealed.

Andrew

Hi Lee,

Great to hear from you - I've been following your progress on the various projects for some time!

I have e-mailed you (a somewhat verbose!) description of the car.

Nice to meet you yesterday, Tony! And no, I have not bought one of your cars ;-)

Here's the reveal!

I haven't had time to take some proper photos of it in the daylight, but I drove it home from Phildini's on Saturday. No major issues uncovered so far, but a few things to fix! I'll post in the "my projects" forum.

I am most nervous about hidden rot, but I hope it's ok - no idea how to check?

Anyway, the eBay buyer didn't materialise so I was offered it outside of eBay. Wasn't really looking to buy a 610 right now but I seized the opportunity.

Now I have to sell a R21 Diesel non-turbo and a 1984 Renault 5 TL. That's selling two cars to make room for one! Still considering whether to sell my Gordini Turbo - I have potential interest.

And very funny, guys! I am glad to be a part of the club.

Please someone tell me it hasn't got rusty sills!
