MespiecesAuto - parts for Alpines?

Postby r5gordini » Tue Dec 29, 2015 9:53 am

Hi All,

Firstly, I hope this is ok to post here... If not, please moderate/remove the post.

Not sure if you're familiar with this site?

http://www.mespiecesauto.com/

It sells a few parts for the Alpines and other Renaults. I am about to submit a bulk order, for which I get a small discount, which I am willing to pass on to members here. If anyone has anything they need, please take a look and let me know by replying to this thread. I will add it to the list of parts ordered and get them all shipped over here.

I've had very bad experience with them couple of years ago, bought a set of piston rings, they sent me the wrong ones, after a lot of arguing for couple of months (and I'm French so language is not an issue) they sent me another set of rubbish quality which was not what was advertised on their website... Argued for a long time and eventually had to buy another set from Somewhere else because they had cost me 6 Months in my project...

I would advise that you double check you are getting what you intend to buy... The interesting prices reflect the quality of the service...

Maybe They have changed now and i was the exception but do your research first...

Ok - fair enough, you guys have the experience of Simon Auto. I have bought a lot of stuff from MespiecesAuto including parts that aren't available anywhere else, so wanted to give you the option. Mostly all has been fine, except for one order where the quantities were slightly messed up, but I am sorting that as we speak.

I will be placing a large order with MespiecesAuto at some point soon as he does some parts for other models that aren't available anywhere else.

Thanks!

I've only had one order with Mespiecesauto for gearbox mounts for the A310. They've been in for 3 years and no problems so far.
I've also had quite a few things from Simon Auto with mixed results. Wrongly sized coolant hoses, poor quality gaskets, Inlet manifold thermal isolators requiring modification to avoid fouling the spark plug shrouds.
I don't think any of the suppliers can be classed as faultless.

I wouldn't consider 90% to be a very good hit rate. Parts should be 100% right.
I sourced many parts for the A310 restoration, from many different sources, with good results except for the odd exception.

Lee, your use of language is inappropriate for a forum of this calibre. I have therefore asked the moderators to replace "even less" with "even fewer" to avoid distress to our readers of a sensitive disposition.
