Website outage (27 Dec 15)

Hi all,
I have to apologise for the site going off-line, in the small hours of the Uk morning. It seems that our server had a power outage. I have just taken this opportunity, to update the server's software and empty the trash!! (So to speak!!)
We "should" be back to normal, if not running a little smoother.
Apologies to those that wanted to look at the site while it was off-line. I have a monitoring system, and I am aware when this occurs, and try to keep the site running as much as possible, but sometimes this happens..

Hi All,
Yes we have had another few outages. I have opened a ticket with the server supplier, to see why, but we may have a few issues with the site dropping off line. I am aware and will update you to my findings, and their responce to my ticket.
I apologise for any loss.

I had a reply from the server supplier this morning...

Over the past few days, our servers have been experiencing ongoing DoS attacks on our data centres. There have been severe attacks over the past 2-3 hours in our London data centre where your server is located.

I will continue to monitor the situation, but just wanted you all to be aware, that the site may be unstable for a while. I have every confidence in the supplier resolving this issue. They have never let me down in the past.

Bbc has been down for the same reasons, so I guess we have to live with this for now. I'm sure they are front of the queue for support.

I just don't want to let you guys down. I have another server lined up if this continues for too long, but for now I am letting them do their best.

IF one wishes to by pass the DNS and access the server directly, then use this link

This will bypass the DNS issues for now.

Just had an update from the data centre, and all seems to be working now.... so fingers crossed, we will have a forum to play with.
Have a great new year, looking forward to getting out and about in my A610, hope to meet up with you all.

Ok we have now updated the Tapatalk plugin...
