A310 1982 Chassis number

Postby Øyvind » Tue May 31, 2016 11:44 am

Does anyone knows where the chassis number is written on the... chassis? Due to Norwegian Public Roads Administration every european car produced after 1971 should have this engraved in the steel chassis, and the plates in the engine room didn't impress them that much.

The number is stamped on the passenger side front chassis rail, near where the brake flexible hose attaches to a bracket on the rail. There is also a small aluminium plate riveted to the driver side front chassis rail, also near the hose bracket. This also has the number stamped on it in a shortened form.
This is the situation for a Phase 1, probably the same for a Phase 2.
