Mine too, although I do need a singed letter and at least 12 months notice to be given a free pass for the day!

Even then it can be tricky getting out the front door lol

A sort of Pop Up Alpiney! Only the very cool and those close to the seat of power get the nod.

Nice selection though. :up

It's places like this that we can drop in, that make the club more social, accessible to potential members and those looking to buy into the Alpine ownership. ( we just need to remember that Lee has a business to run, so don't over do it!! , maybe bring along some biscuits as well.... Asda is just down the road !! HINT!!! )
If there was a club based shop with maybe a cafe and the such like, then when there are those days, when you fancy a drive out but there is nothing on... You could visit, maybe shop or a place that could be used to arrange collection of some parts, meet up with other members and see whats happening... just ideas but could be useful.
Yes, it would take allot of time, man hours and overheads etc etc, but I am sure that a quick text to see if it's open or maybe arranged hours at weekends during the better weather months, and volunteers etc would help..
If I had a place, I would sure do it... but it would need to be more central than just the South??
"The barn" was in a good'ish location, ( but issues outside of the club put an end to that!! )
SO don't feel left out about this little gathering at RATS... it just sort of happened. Nice to chat and take the "wee wee" out of each other.. Just wish there were more places like this!!

Saturdays are usually open days,collections/deliveries and general housekeeping, getting to stages on long term projects for Ryan and Me .If we are busy then just entertain yourself .Usually there from 9 till about 3 .

Terry Snakebite just popped in to show off Merlin as we'd not seen it since rebuild + he was nosing at A310 stuff (industrial espionage)

Going to have a very full year ahead so will always be something different to talk about ...I'll try and do a proper Openday or two but this year has been just a bit to messy and full to think about .Both at home and work :up

I think specialists will always be a nice hub for a local social scene if they are open on a Saturday mornings.

I know it can possibly be a bit of distraction for the proprietor but may drum up business in the long run. I met a lot of people and made a lot of friends during informal Saturday AM drop offs when Paul Sage was in his garage at Gipsy Hill and yes you did fell left out if some of your mates went and you didn't go that week. A Saturday morning was also a convenient time to slip away without being missed by the other half for a couple of hours lol.

Two more waiting their turn in the RATS shop

The one on the left looks familiar. Good to see it being saved.

"The barn" was in a good'ish location, ( but issues outside of the club put an end to that!! )

Yes that was a real shame and really short sighted I think but onwards and upwards I guess

"Might" be a new more permanent SE venue soon and there is an alternate OX barn location that could be considered and I'm often there at weekends. Thanks for the 'reminder' Vince as I hadn't really thought about that for a possible occasional social scene.
