cannot see that happening really. The only option would be for Signatech to go for the LMP1-p class but that cannot be works backed and with new LMP2 rules for next year, that class will be almost as fast as the LMP1-p's so not much to gain although it could mean a top 4 finish at Le Mans assuming the 2 big teams hit trouble.
Unless either Toyota or Porsche pull out the rules wont change and the cost of competing with those is almost or beyond F1 level.
Nissan, having lost out on the LMP2 engine deal, maybe, hopefully be back at some point anyway and sure they wont compete.
Hope I am wrong. Would love to be surprised by a sudden launch of an Alpine Renault Hybrid LMP1 programme that's has been developed secretly and ready to go with hospitality laid on for Alpine clubs around the world........ oops daydreaming again.
Having said that, there is still mystery surrounding the sudden demise of the Renaultsport Trophy which may point to resources being diverted elsewhere. most likely the underperforming F1 team.
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.
