Out Riggers

Are the condition of the out riggers a structure part when it comes to the MOT?
Reason for asking, mine at the front don't look great where they meet the sills.
MOT is one thing, my safety in the car is more to the point.

Isn't the rule 30cm from a stress point- like seat or seatbelt mounting, suspension point etc.
The front outrigger would seem to break that rule, but I guess like most things in the MOT, it depends on the person testing it.

That's a firm maybe....

Fronts or rears ? Rear is close to rear seatbealt mount
In any case if the outriggers are failing then the structure is,sill etc .....Body is bonded to sill,outriggers from center to sill so adding rigidity.
